CCL DESIGN COURSES
Interior Decoration
Interior Design and Decoration Course
In this course the students will explore, analyse and interpret conceptual issues in the field of interior decoration.
The students will investigate and research materials, trends, and styles and analyse methods to be applied in future interior design projects, and extend their capabilities from conceptual design thinking and processes to the visual representation and presentation to future clients.
The aim of this course is for the students to be able to understand the value of ‘concept’ as a tool to develop a creative, inspirational interior decoration project. Also, to experiment with new decoration techniques, materials in trend and their environmental impact.
During this course the students will be taught how to start a project and produce project management documents and also understand how the people involved in the project will function in different spaces.
The students are welcome to bring a project of their own to solve during their 5 weeks course.
Required Equipment
PC Laptop (portable computer)

Photoshop
Photography Course (Basic)
The courses are covering areas from studio lighting for beginners to digital capture with camera movements for professionals combined with multimedia.
The Basic Photography Course is an ideal course to learn more about your camera, composition and how to start creating your own portfolio. The course can be combined with our Photoshop Course.
Our courses are presented in a relaxed atmosphere where student involvement is encouraged, feedback is important, and the instructors are always available to answer questions. All our courses include supervised photography on location.
Great photographers master their equipment and have a unique view of the world through their lens. Learn not only how to use the advanced technical features of your camera, but when to use them and what settings will achieve the desired effects. Find the perfect balance between light, composition, exposure, shutter speed, aperture and Raw vs JPG to create stunning digital images.
The students are welcome to bring a project of their own to be solved during the course.
Required Equipment
DSLR Camera
We can recommend Canon Digital Camera D1000 TO 750D or similar.
Memory Card compatible with your digital camera.
Battery compatible with your digital camera + battery charger (and adapter to European power source).
Illustrator
Adobe Illustrator Course
The Illustrator Summer Training Course at the CCL Academy is created for all people interested in learning how to make professional graphic designs and illustrations using Adobe Illustrator.
Illustrator is an essential programme to master for all designers for them to produce professional portfolios and presentations of their professional work as well as for people working in the advertisement industry making graphic design and illustrations.
At the end of this course students will have learned how to develop a simple graphic project with Illustrator. They will acquire an overview on how main features of the programme work by covering all the essential tools that are commonly used, developing a hands-on knowledge of their application on actual commercial use of the programme.
The students are welcome to bring a project of their own to be solved during the course.
Required Equipment
Laptop PC or MAC: We recommend you to use a Lap Top with sufficient RAM memory and a powerful graphic card. We also recommend a 13 to 15” screen.
Computer Programmes: Please make sure you get the programmes in the same format as your laptop (for example a Mac formatted program will not work on a PC).
- Adobe Illustrator – CS6 version or higher
You can download a trial version which is valid for 30 days or you can as a student at the Academy buy a student version of the programme.
Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop Course
The Photoshop Summer Training Course at the CCL Academy will illustrate how to use Adobe Photoshop to perform a multitude of different image-processing techniques. In this course, the use of several tools for selecting parts of images will be analysed, as well as moving, duplicating and resizing images. Layers, layer effects, filters, painting and blending, and colour modification will also be studied. The creation of a medium-complexity image and manipulation (photo-montage) will be explored as well as touch-up of photos and the use of Adobe Camera Raw.
The students are welcome to bring a project of their own to be solved during the course.
